On the eve of public holidays and during summer, closing time is 3.00 a.m.

The course of the game

1. Feed the machine

It's easy to get started: put one or multiple coins of the corresponding value indicated on the machine.

Then, press on the DEAL-DRAW/DONNER-TIRER button to start the game.

2. The machine deals the cards

Now the game can start: you'll receive a random series of five cards.

To get a winning hand, you can keep one or several of these five cards by pressing the HOLD/GARDE keys (each key corresponds to a card). If you've struck it lucky and you get a winning hand on the first deal, HOLD/GARDE may automatically be applied on some machines.

In all cases, make sure that the word "held"/"gardée" appears below the cards that you want to keep.

3. Change your cards (if necessary)

To change the card(s) that you don't wish to hold, press again on DEAL-DRAW/DONNER-TIRER. Please note, each card can only been changed once.

The final combination is then displayed on the screen.

4. Double or nothing

Do you have a winning hand? Well played, but it's not over! The machine will now offer you to... double or nothing. That's right, two options are available to you:

To decline the double or nothing, simply press NO/NON. You then have the following choice:

  • To receive your payout, press on YES/OUI
  • To play again, press on BET ONE CREDIT/MISER UN CREDIT

To accept the double or nothing, just press YES/OUI. Five cards are then dealt, of which only one is visible (on the left of the screen): this is the "dealer" card.

You must then select one of the 4 remaining cards: if the card is higher in value than the dealer card, you double your bet!

Note: you can double several times in a row. You hold the cards, try your luck!

See you soon at Evian Casino,

Jack

Jack's advice

I would advise you to accept the "double or nothing" mainly for small wins, since for bigger wins, the risk of losing everything isn't worth it.

Casino Culture

Are you familiar with the ancestor of video poker?

In 1901 the very first poker machine was created. Its inventor, Charles Fey, called it “Skill Draw”. It worked in a rudimentary manner: the first round from the 5-reel machine created a poker hand, then the player could keep certain cards and re-spin the remaining reels to complete the poker hand.
