A landmark of French comedy, "Le Dîner de cons" is coming to the Théâtre du Casino d’Évian on 5 December 2026 at 8.30 pm in an adaptation performed by the La Comédie des Alpes theatre company.
Every Wednesday, Pierre Brochant organises a famous " dîner de cons " with his friends, where everyone has to invite the most eccentric guest possible. Convinced he has found the perfect candidate in François Pignon, an accountant with a passion for matchstick models, he has no idea of the chaos that awaits him.
Misunderstandings, blunders and twists and turns follow one after another in this irresistible comedy written by Francis Veber, which has become a staple of French theatre. First staged in 1993 and later made famous by its film adaptation, it continues to charm audiences of all ages thanks to its timeless humour and its now-iconic lines.
"You’re always someone’s idiot, and that’s just too bad for them." Francis Veber.
